Oliver Twist

The book Oliver Twist was written by the brilliant Charles Dickens. The book is about a boy that would do anything to meet his mother but sadly he doesn’t know that she is dead.

The orphanage that Oliver lived at didn’t give him enough to eat, and also treated him cruelly. But one-day Mister Bumble { the person who ran the orphanage } put up a sign saying boy for sale only 5 pounds! Oliver than was taken outside and was told to stay wright there. He did not want to be sold; he thought that if he was to be sold he would have his life would be twice as bad. He thought it was not fair that he couldn’t decide whether or not he wanted to be sold. The person who first saw the sign was a chimney sweep. But when the man went to court to make Oliver his official apprentice Oliver begged not to become this mans apprentice. But the next day the person who saw the sign also wanted Oliver to become his apprentice. This time he was forced not to say anything and was sold the next day. They did not treat him any better. He was given food that even the dog did not eat. He had a terrible time, he wanted to leave. The next day he gathered up all his belongings and left. He was on his way to London. He thought that no one would be able to find him in that city. On his way there he ran into a child around his age, who was called the Artful Dodger. He asked Oliver were he was going and if he was hungry. Oliver said that he was hungry and that he was going to the London. Then the Artful Dodger stole some food and offerd Oliver some place to stay as long as he helped them with there business. But Oliver did not know that the business was stealing. But  one day he was forced into the business. The next day he was told only to watch quietly and that is what he did. But the man they robbed thought that Oliver was the robber. So he was taken to court but the owner of the store that the man was at said that it wasn’t Oliver who robbed the gentleman but right then Oliver fell to the ground sick! The man took Oliver home to his care and then one day Oliver was stolen. The people who stole him were the thieves. When he was tooken back to the house they locked him up in his room. He did not like that they did that to him but they were about to do something worse to him. The next thing you know he was forced to robe the person that took care of him. On a cold night Oliver was taken to the house of the man that took Kare of him. The people who took him pushed him over a wall. He was then told that if he tried to escape he would be shot. Then they pushed him threw an opened window and told him to go unlock the door. But instead Oliver ran up the stairs sreaming HELP! The next thing you know Oliver had a hole in his hand. Oliver fell to the ground unable to move another step. Then when he had almost lost all hope two slaves came and called there masters. Sadley that was all that I could wright today.
